Abstract

Autologous peroneus longus tendon graft is chosen by many surgeons in arthroscopic ligament reconstruction surgery in general and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) in particular. With the goal of “To evaluate the results of arthroscopic posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction of the knee using autologous peroneus longus tendon at 108 Military Central Hospital”, we conducted a study of 35 cases, including retrospective 16 cases and prospective 19 cases using cross-sectional descriptive method.  We get results: at 6 months after surgery, the rate of negative posterior drawer test was 62.9%, positive grade I was 37.1%. Lysholm's knee function was very good and good at 94.3%, accounting for an average of 5.7%. The results according to the IKDC transcript ranked A accounting for %, grade B accounting for 62.9%, and no cases rated C and D. Ankle joint function according to AOFAS was good (65.7%) and good (34.3%), the average score was 95.43 ± 4.81. Arthroscopic PCL reconstruction using autologous peroneus longus tendon graft gives good results, ankle joint function is preserved after harvesting the peroneus longus tendon. However, more patients and longer follow-ups are needed.
