Tóm tắt


Nghiên cứu này làm rõ quá trình chuyển đổi từ tầng lớp trí thức Nho học sang trí thức Tân học tại Thừa Thiên Huế giai đoạn 1919-1945, trong bối cảnh cải cách giáo dục thuộc địa và phong trào dân tộc. Mục tiêu chính là phân tích cơ chế thay thế của lớp quan lại Nho học bằng đội ngũ trí thức mới được đào tạo trong hệ thống giáo dục Pháp - Việt, đồng thời xem xét vai trò của họ trong tiến trình hiện đại hóa và vận động cách mạng qua khung lý thuyết Antonio Gramsci. Phương pháp nghiên cứu dựa trên tư liệu lưu trữ tiếng Pháp và tiếng Việt, báo chí đương thời, niên giám thống kê, kết hợp tiếp cận liên ngành của sử học và khoa học xã hội. Kết quả cho thấy, khi khoa cử truyền thống bị bãi bỏ và uy tín trí thức Nho học suy giảm, trí thức Tân học nổi lên như lực lượng mới, tham gia tích cực vào các tổ chức chính trị, báo chí và phong trào yêu nước. Quá trình thay thế này phản ánh sự dịch chuyển căn bản về tri thức, cơ cấu xã hội và ý thức dân tộc. Nghiên cứu góp phần làm sáng tỏ đặc thù lịch sử của Huế và gợi mở những bài học cho việc xây dựng đội ngũ trí thức hiện nay.
