Tóm tắt

Nghiên cứu này nhằm làm rõ bản sắc văn hóa và đặc trưng tính cách con người phương Nam trong tiến trình hình thành, phát triển vùng đất Nam Bộ. Trọng tâm là xác định các yếu tố văn hóa, tín ngưỡng và điều kiện tự nhiên góp phần tạo nên bản sắc và cách chúng phản ánh trong đời sống, văn học khu vực. Thông qua các phương pháp lịch sử, dân tộc học, ngôn ngữ và văn học, nghiên cứu chỉ ra rằng văn hóa Nam Bộ là sự giao thoa đa tầng, tạo nên nếp sống phóng khoáng, trọng nghĩa tình và đoàn kết. Hệ giá trị Nhân - Lễ - Nghĩa - Trí - Tín trở thành nền tảng chi phối hành vi ứng xử. Các yếu tố vật chất như ẩm thực, trang phục, kiến trúc cùng hò, lý, đờn ca tài tử thể hiện đời sống tinh thần phong phú và khả năng thích ứng linh hoạt. Kết quả khẳng định mối quan hệ hữu cơ giữa văn hóa và con người phương Nam, đồng thời lý giải đặc trưng riêng của văn học Nam Bộ giai đoạn 1954-1975 trong dòng chảy văn hóa dân tộc.
