Tóm tắt


Xơ dừa, một loại chất thải trong chế biến dừa, là một nguồn tái tạo ứng dụng phổ biến trong giá thể trồng cây. Do có thể có độ muối cao, gây ức chế sinh trưởng của thực vật, các biện pháp như ủ lâu ngày, rửa, phối trộn với cơ chất khác,… được áp dụng đối với xơ dừa. Nghiên cứu này đánh giá đặc tính của một số giá thể trồng cây tạo thành từ việc phối trộn xơ dừa với đất và than hoạt tính từ rơm rạ nhằm cung cấp cơ sở khoa học cho việc phát triển công thức chế tạo giá thể từ xơ dừa nguyên chất, áp dụng một cách đơn giản và tiện lợi trong thực tiễn trồng cây trong chậu. Nghiên cứu xác định các tính chất vật lý, hoá học và sinh học đặc trưng của giá thể và sự sinh trưởng của cây xà lách xoăn (Lactuca sativa) trên giá thể nghiên cứu. Kết quả cho thấy, giá thể chứa xơ dừa nguyên chất phối trộn với đất (0-5%v) và than sinh học từ rơm rạ (0-20%v) có pH và EC cao quá mức gây bất lợi cho sự hút thu dinh dưỡng của thực vật. Chỉ giá thể chứa xơ dừa nguyên chất trộn với 20% đất và 0-20% than sinh học mới hỗ trợ cho sự phát triển của cây. Nghiên cứu đã đưa đến kết luận rằng xơ dừa nguyên chất chỉ nên chiếm tối đa 60%v của giá thể.
