Abstract

Nowadays, more and more tourist attractions are built into a tourist complex with different small sights in a large campus. This will cause difficulties for tourists in finding the way and may leave out places to visit in large sightseeing area. Meanwhile, famous travel softwares such as Smart Tourism of VNPT, TripHunter, VisitKorea, and even Google Maps are having limitations to find the way between small attractions in a tourist area. In order to solve this problem, we propose a solution to improve the efficiency of route finding by adding new places to the planning map and embedding it on Google Maps. Simultaneously, we inherit the Context-based Guide Algorithm (CGA) in Universal Smart Travel of Thai Nguyen (USToT) to find the way and automatically detect the nearby places to inform the user in order to avoid leaving attractions out. The experimental evaluation results show that our solution not only finds the way between attractions on campus better than Google Maps, but also automatically alerts when the user approaches the attraction.
