THE VIETNAMESE COMMUNIST PARTY’S POLICIES FOR PRIVATE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FROM 2016 TO 2021

Abstract

The private economy is an important component of the national economy. The development of the private economy is a long-term strategy in developing a socialist-oriented market economy, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the central task of economic development, industrialization, modernization,  and capacity building of the country in the international integration. In the 2016-2021 period, the Vietnamese Communist Party had many guidelines and solutions to develop the private economy, considering the private economy as an important driving force for the economic development. By the historical method and the logical method, combined with the method of synthesis, statistics, comparison, the article highlights the policy and results achieved in the process of the Party leading the development of the private economy. The research results confirm the correctness and creativity of the Party in leading the development of the private economy. At the same time, the article draws some experiences to apply to private economic development in Vietnam in the coming time.
