Tóm tắt

Nghiên cứu nhằm đánh giá tình trạng dinh dưỡng của trẻ em dưới 5 tuổi tại 2 xã Tả Phời và Hợp Thành của thành phố Lào cai, tỉnh Lào Cai năm 2023. Phương pháp nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang trẻ từ 0-60 tháng thuộc 2 xã của tỉnh Lào Cai trong thời gian từ tháng 8/2022 đến 5/2023. Đánh giá tình trạng dinh dưỡng qua số đo nhân trắc (cân nặng, chiều cao) và so sánh số đo của quần thể tham chiếu theo hướng dẫn của WHO-2006, 374 bà mẹ trả lời theo câu hỏi được thiết kế sẵn. Kết quả cho thấy, 57,5% trẻ nam, tỷ lệ nam/nữ:1,35, tuổi trung bình là 27,68±16,97 tháng; 14,7% suy dinh dưỡng thể nhẹ cân; 43,9% suy dinh dưỡng thể thấp còi và 29,4% suy dinh dưỡng thể gầy còm. Như vậy, cần xác định một số yếu tố nguy cơ gây suy dinh dưỡng và có những biện pháp can thiệp phù hợp để giảm tỷ lệ suy dinh dưỡng trẻ em ở khu vực này.
