Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate experiment Kit Card Agglutination Test for Trypanosomiasis (CATT) on infected and uninfected buffaloes in Tuyen Quang province. Our results showed that:

The sensitivity and specificity of Kit CATT are 100% and 98.68%, respectively.

Compared the efficacy of Kit CATT with ELISA, PCR and mice inoculation in the diagnosis of trypanosomiasis showed that the mouse inoculation test was the most sensitive test for Trypanosomiasis and the sensitivity and spectificty are 100%. PCR has a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity of 98.35%, The sensitivity and specificity of ELISA are 98.48% and 97.11%, and those of Kit CATT are 98.48% and 97.52%, orderly.
