ACTUAL STATE OF FASCIOLA SPP. INFECTION IN CATTLE IN SOME DISTRICTS OF SƠN LA PROVINCE – PROPOSING A PREVENTION AND TREATMENT MEASURE

Fascioliasis infection rate in cattle in some districts of Sơnla Province were very high. By examination of stool, it was discovered that 47.67% of buffaloes and 33.00% of cows were infected fascioliasis. There were 40.00% of buffaloes and 30.00% of cows with the mature fascioliasis in the bile duct as parasite. Two types of drugs: Han - Dertil B and Albendazol both had high and safe effect on removing fascioliasis without causing any adverse reactions for cattle. Prevention and treatment measures for fascioliasis: removing fascioliasis periodically for cattle; on the other hand, promoting disease prevention by hygiene for food, drinking water, housing and grazing areas; destroying eggs and intermediate host of external fascioliasis with the aim of cutting off its life cycle.
