KNOWLEDGE, PRACTICE AND SOME FACTORS RELATED TO THE ANTIBIOTIC USE OF THE PEOPLE'S IN PHU DIEN WARD, BAC TU LIEM DISTRICT, HANOI

Abstract

Rationale: Medicine plays an indispensable role in caring and protecting people's health, so medicine has to be used safely, correctly, especially antibiotics. Objectives: Describe the knowledge, practice and some factors related to the use of antibiotics of the inhabitants in Phu Dien ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study with 267 households in Phu Dien ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi from March to May 2018. Results: 67.8% of whom have good knowledge and 42.6% of whom have good practice in using antibiotics. The factors related to knowledge and practice of antibiotic use include: sex, education background, occupation, household with children.
