Abstract

The purpose of this sudy was to investigate the single NaCl concentration, the solvent /material ratio and the distillation time which affected the extraction process in the orange peel grown in Ham Yen- Tuyen Quang. The corresponding survey results: 8%; 2.5 / 1 (v / w); 80 minutes. On the basis of the factors affecting the extraction conditions, we found that the concentration of NaCl, solvent/material ratio and  distillation time strongly influence the extraction process. Application of Box-Behnken design found the optimal conditions for the limonene extraction process from Citrus reliculata with concentration of NaCl  of 7.5%, solvent/ material ratio 2.546/1 (v/ w), distillation time 79.69 minutes, limonene of 2.916 gr (w/w). Experimental results showed high degree of compatibility with the model.
