THE SITUATION OF USING HEALTH SERVICES AMONG PEOPLE IN SOME COMMUNITIES IN PHU LUONG DISTRICT, THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE IN 2019

A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 214 people aged 20 and over in 4 communes in Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province to describe the situation of using health services among people in some communes of Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province in 2019 and some related factors. Research results showed that the proportion of sick people using medical examination and treatment services at the community health station was 37.9%; the figure for people buying medicine and self- treatment at home was 32.7%, using health services at other health facilities was less than 10%. The reason for self-treatment at home was convenient (100%). The main reasons for visiting other facilities were: the proximity of the home (49.61%); convenience (41.86%); good quality (36.43%). There were significant relationships between the place registration of health insurance, gender, ethnic group and behavior using health services (p <0.05). A high proportion of people voluntarily buy medicines for treatment when they are ill. The reasons are mostly convenient and the condition is mild.
