DEVELOPING SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES IN HANOI CITY IN THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION CONTEXT 4.0

Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution (industrial revolution 4.0) created a new era of development in all fields, especially in technology and economy. In the age of technology enterprises, the development of private enterprises, specifically small and medium-sized enterprises, is not only the use of good opportunities but also a way to develop the private economic zone in particular and develop the whole economy in general. At the 2019 Private Economic Forum, taking place in Hanoi, the Prime Minister also emphasized supporting private enterprises in general, small and medium-sized enterprises in particular in the new context. Within the scope of the article, the author has used the research methods: synthesis, statistics, analysis, comparison to clarify the barriers in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Hanoi and suggest some solutions to develop this type of enterprises in Hanoi in the context of industrial revolution 4.0. The article has great theoretical meaning and practical significance in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, and the development of the private economy in Hanoi city in the new context.
