Abstract


Currently, the living standard of the population is an important issue that is being studied by many scientists. In Vietnam, the economy has made progress with social improvements. As a locality in the Northern Midlands and Mountains, Thai Nguyen province has seen many positive changes in the economy over the past ten years, and people's living standards have been improved day by day. However, the rich-poor gap tends to increase, the living standards of ethnic minorities and remote areas still face many difficulties. This article focuses on researching the current situation of the living standard of Thai Nguyen province in the period 2010 - 2018 through applying problem analysis, synthesis and comparison method on official local database. Thereby proposing solutions to improve this index, contributing to Thai Nguyen province to develop comprehensively in all aspects.
