About this article
Published: 01/01/70Abstract
In the late 19th century after having completed their invasion in Vietnam, the French immediately proceeded with developing their governance from local to central levels, which were considered as their important tools in realizing their policy of exploiting their Vietnamese colony. The new French government and their colony-exploiting policies made multi-dimensional impacts on the socio-economic situation of Vietnam. The urban areas seemed to be the lively reflection of such impacts. Lang Son Urban Town was a typical example of the Northern mountainous areas of Vietnam.
