Abstract


The study focuses on understanding the status of vocational training activities for rural workers in Thai Nguyen province in the period of 2018-2020. The study used primary and secondary information and the main analytical methods are comparison, descriptive statistics. The results show that, in the past 3 years, funding for vocational training activities for rural workers has come from 3 sources: the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the Department of Labor Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) and sources from units in the province. There are 3 groups of vocational training activities: agricultural vocational training, non-agricultural vocational training and vocational training for people with disabilities. In which, agricultural vocational training accounted for the largest number (53.3%). The fields of agricultural vocational training include: cultivation, animal husbandry, food processing technology and agricultural mechanics. In which, the industry with the largest number of classes is animal husbandry (98/198 classes). Among localities, Thai Nguyen City is the unit that is allocated the most funding with the largest number of participants. From the current status of vocational training activities for rural workers, the results achieved and the advantages and disadvantages in the past time, we propose some solutions to improve the quality of vocational training activities for laborers,rural activities in Thai Nguyen province.
