Abstract


Thai Nguyen University is a regional and national key university, established on April 4, 1994 under Decree No. 31/CP of the Government. Thai Nguyen University is a multidisciplinary university with mission in training, researching and providing service in Science and Technology, serving the development of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region and the whole country.  In the current context, Thai Nguyen University has gradually improved its capacity in national and international university rankings. It is the close cooperation with businesses and localities in the region that contributes to improving university ranking capacity in training and research criteria. This article, with the method of document analysis and synthesis, will show the process of participating in university ranking at Thai Nguyen University and the practice of developing the cooperation relationship between Thai Nguyen University with enterprises and localities in training, research and technology transfer will contributes to improving the ranking capacity.
