Objectives: Describe the clinical, Paraclinical characteristics and causes of hemoptysis at the Department of Respiratory - Endocrinology, Thai Nguyen Central Hospital. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional study conducted on 61 patients suffered from hemoptysis were treated at the Department of Respiratory - Endocrinology, Thai Nguyen Central Hospital from 01/2017 to 01/2018; Results: Male/ female ratio: 3.7 (78.7% and 21.3%); Age average is 53.0 ± 16.7 years. Clinical symptoms: Chest pain 62.3%; fever 39.3%; oppressive 24.6%; moist rales 72.1%; cracker rales 39.3%. Hemoptysis level: Mild 31.1%; medium level 42.6%; heavy level 26.2%. AFB (+) 24.6%; AFB (-) 75.4%. Position and Traumatic lesions on the CT scanner: Lobe on the right lung 62.3%; lobe on left lung 54.1%; bronchiectasis 55.7%; consolidated 36.1%; cave 29.5%; bronchopulmonary dysplasia 23%; blurry images accounted for 8.2%. Causes of hemoptysis: Bronchiectasis 49.2%; tuberculosis 36.1%; pneumonia 4.9%; lung cancer 9.8%.
