Rau meo (Orthosiphon stamineus Benth) or Bong Bac belongs to Lamiaceae family. Orthosiphon stamineus Benth is now ranked in rare plants that needs to be conserved and developed acording to the pharmacy strategy development of Ministry of Health. Some benefits of Orthosiphon stamineus Benth such as diuretic or detoxity show that sinensetin existing in this plant species may have potentials for the export of Vietnam. However, this source of medical herb becomes exhausted due to the overexploitation in nature while the planting is not paid attention. Previous studies about this plant only include investigations, biological descriptions or chemical analysis without focusing on multiplication or planting techniques. This study approached the multiplication of cutting technique, and the results showed that: the growth stimulants IBA, IAA and NAA with the concentration of 500, 1000 and 1500 ppm exhibited the average rooting rates 98.52%; 98.52%; 98.89% respectively, and the control formula is 94.44%. These growth stimulants do not influence on the rooting rates of Orthosiphon stamineus Benth cuttings. The age of the cuttings mostly does not impact the spouting rate. Seasonality has influence on the amount of roots and cuttings of this species when the same concentration and same growth stimulants are used.
