Abstract

STEM education has been widely deployed in high schools throughout the country. Especially with the implementation of 2018 General Education Program, STEM activities in high schools has become indispensable to meet the requirements of building and developing students' capacities, one of which is exploring nature. So, how should the topics be designed and organized following STEM education to develop students' capacity of exploring nature? Based on practical research and expert consultation, the research team aims to answer the above problems through the design of a STEM theme "Soundproofing House". With the manifestations of students' capacity of exploring nature are: (1) Proposing a solution to the problem; (2) Make a plan to perform the task to be solved; (3) Present and discuss the problem to be solved; (4) Design and manufacture products; (5) Implement the given plan. The research results show that it is possible to organize STEM activities with this topic to develop students'  capacity of exploring nature.
