The study aimed to determine the growth, maturity and egg production characteristics of commercial TC ducks in Thai Nguyen. The experiment was conducted on 500 ducklings during rearing period, 480 laying ducks, assigned into 2 experimental groups, each group consists of 80 ducks, and the experiment was conducted in triples. The first group was kept in garden, no water for bathing and swimming (dry); the second group was kept as the same condition as first group but with addition of a small artificial pool for bathing. The results showed that: Egg type TC duck were kept on dry garden have had the survival rate, growth, maturity, number of egg/female/year, laying percentage, egg weight, amount of feed were expenditure per duck, per 10 eggs were similar to that of group having water for swimming, bathing, the difference was not statistically significant. The survival rate from day old to 1 year of laying (69 weeks of age) ranged from 92.8 to 93.33%; the weight of pullet when moving to laying house (16 weeks) reached 1217.78 to 1225.75 gr. The 5% egg laid were at 119-120 days of age, 50% laying egg at 135 days of age and peak production at 185-186 days of age (week 26.5 reached 93.23 - 93.69 %); average yield of the first year were 274.56-278.2 eggs/female, average laying rate was 76.18-76.36%; egg weight at 38 weeks of age was 64.31 - 64.55 gr. Feed consumption for 01 duck from day old to 16 weeks of age was 6.80-6.92 kg; feed conversion for the 10 eggs in the first year laying egg including feed for rearing period was 1.96 -2.01 kg.
