ASSESS THE DIVERSITY OF VASCULAR PLANTS IN PHONG QUANG COMMUNE, VI XUYEN DISTRICT, HA GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract


The flora of Phong Quang commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province was quite  diverse, it compriced 326 species, 264 genera, 104 families, belonging to 5 phyla of vascular plants. Of which, Magnoliophyta compriced 303 species (92.94%), 245 genera (92.80%), 88 families (84.61%). There are five major life forms: phanerophytes, chamaephytes, hemicryptophytes, cryptophytes, therophytes. Plant life spectra in the study area were: SB = 83.12 % Ph + 3.98% Ch + 4.90% He + 4.29% Cr + 3,71% Th. Based on the utilization values, the plants were divided into 10 groups: medicinal plants (216 species), timber trees (102 species), edible plants (53 species), ornamental plants (35 species), essential-oil plants (21 species), forages (14 species), fibred plants (10 species), poisonous plants (7 species), handicraft material plants (5 species), plastic plants (2 species). On the other hand, 22 threatened species were recognized in this area.
