Abstract
The objective of this study was to formulate quick dissolving mini tablets of lornoxicam by wet granulation technique using various super disintegrants like sodium starch glycolat, crospovidone and croscarmellose sodium. Prepared mini tablets were evaluated for different properties like drug content, hardness, disintegration time and in vitro dissolution study. The different formulations showed drug release time between the ranges of 8 to 24 minutes. Among all the formulations, CT 4.5 showed 96.19% drug release within 12 min. Thus, CT 4.5 was considered best among the other formulations. The mini tablets showed enhanced dissolution hence better release profile.
