Abstract

Rice bran oil is extracted from rice bran. Rice bran oil contains many vitamins, unsaturated fatty, natural antioxidants, so it is important in lowering blood cholesterol. Rice bran oil is a unique vegetable oil containing oryzanol, lecithin, squalene, phytosterols, polyphenols, tocopherol, tocotrienols... Hence, the rice bran oil has high nutritional value and commercial potential. This report presented the effect of phosphorus on rice oil content of local rice samples SL5 and LNT1. In the experimental conditions of 120 kg N/ha and 60 kg K2O/ha, when changing the level of phosphate from 0 - 120 kg P2O5/ha, the results showed that phosphorus did not affect the yield and yield components  of two local rice SL5 and LNT1. Provided at 90kg of  P2O5/ha for the highest rice oil content, the SL5 rice sample reached 24.6% (1.07 times higher than the control), the LNT1 rice sample reached 25.3% (1.07 times higher than the control). The results have high practical significance in farming to improve rice bran oil content.
