ASSESSMENT OF COMMUNITY FOREST IN BINH LONG COMMUNE, VO NHAI DISTRICT, THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE

Abstract

Binh Long is a particularly poor commune of Vo Nhai District in Thai Nguyen Province with a major economy based on agroforestry activities, the average income per head reaches 11 million VND/ year. In recent years, people have promoted the strength of the region, economic development in the direction of agriculture and forestry. Binh Long people have participated in community forestry activities, contributing to the benefits of socio-economic development and environmental protection. Raise more than 1000 ha of forest cover from 2011 to 2017, reduce the area of non-forest rock, increase biodiversity, improve farm economy and contribute to poverty reduction.
