Abstract

Bac Giang is a midland province in the Northeast region of Vietnam, with a long history of formation, construction and development, a rich cultural tradition, potential and diverse natural resources. As the "gateway" region of the country, Bac Giang has an important strategic position in terms of politics, economy, culture, and is a gateway to trade with many regions in the country. From the end of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century, under the influence of the colonial exploitation of the French colonialists, Bac Giang had many economic, cultural and social changes. And especially this place was also the cradle of the patriotic movement against the French colonialists. By historical method and logical method, studying the history of Bac Giang during this period, the author contributes more material about the period of indomitable and heroic struggle of Bac Giang people in the early years of the twentieth century. Research results have led to the conclusion that Bac Giang from 1895 - 1930 took place an extremely vibrant and widespread patriotic and revolutionary movement.
