Abstract

Agriculture production land is an essential means of production and needs to be managed and closely monitored for area fluctuations. This research was conducted to help adjust agricultural policies and land management more effectively in Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province. Based on investigation, synthesis and analysis of documents, it shows that agriculture production land in Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province is used in 3 main types (rice land, land for other annual crops and land for perennial crops), the area of agricultural land in Dong Hy district decreased in the period 2018 – 2022 (from 13,635 hectares to 13,496 hectares). The main reason is due to conversion from agriculture production land to non-agricultural land. In addition, there has also been a transformation within the structure of agriculture production land. In the coming time, to ensure the efficiency of agricultural land use in the context of reduced area, Dong Hy district needs to focus on promoting sustainable farming models, converting crop varieties and crop structures.
