BIOLOGYCAL CHARACTERISTIC, GROWTH PERFOMANCE AND PRODUCTIVE OF HEOSYMYS GRANDIS, (GRAY, 1860) IN ANIMAL WILD RESECUING CENTER SOC SON, HA NOI

Abstract

The  result of study that Heosymys Grandis’s breastplate is yellow and black spot sector and without the middle fortoise shells and breastplate, that are diffirence characteristics with other Turtle species. The young vegetables, ripe friuts, fishs, shrimps, locusts or green grasshopers are their favorite feed.

Yearly,  average body weigh gain around 200 grs. The male is growther than female. Feed intake per day of adult turtle  are 39.72 grs (female) and 43.61 grs (male).

The female lays an egg  or 2 eggs in year, average egg  litter are 1.4. Average egg weigh are 40.40 grs. Average incubating time are 107.50 days. Hatching rate is 75%, the ratio of day old weigh per egg weigh are 62.34%.
