RỦI RO TÍN DỤNG VÀ KHẢ NĂNG SINH LỢI CỦA NGÂN HÀNG: NGHIÊN CỨU PHÂN TÍCH DỮ LIỆU BẢNG

Nghiên cứu này hướng tới việc phân tích tác động của rủi ro tín dụng đến hiệu quả hoạt động tài chính của các ngân hàng thương mại tại Việt Nam. Dữ liệu bảng gồm 31 ngân hàng thương mại cổ phần tại Việt Nam từ năm 2008 đến 2019 được sử dụng để nghiên cứu bằng mô hình dữ liệu bảng. Kết quả chỉ ra rằng 03 biến đo lường rủi ro tín dụng (gồm: hệ số nợ xấu, hệ số dư nợ cho vay/tiền gửi của khách hàng và hệ số dự phòng rủi ro tín dụng) có ảnh hưởng đồng biến đến hiệu quả hoạt động của ngân hàng, điều này hàm ý rằng các ngân hàng thương mại ở Việt Nam thu được lợi nhuận cao mặc dù chịu rủi ro tín dụng cao. Đồng thời, nghiên cứu cũng chỉ ra mối quan hệ đồng biến giữa quy mô ngân hàng với hiệu quả hoạt động, cho thấy các ngân hàng có lợi thế về chi phí và thu nhiều lợi nhuận hơn nhờ vào lợi thế kinh tế về quy mô.
