Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm xác định các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến hiệu quả kinh tế cây quế ở tỉnh Thái Nguyên. Số liệu của nghiên cứu được thu thập bằng cách phỏng vấn trực tiếp 240 hộ trồng quế tại tỉnh Thái Nguyên. Nghiên cứu sử dụng mô hình cân bằng cấu trúc tuyến tính (SEM) để phân tích. Kết quả phân tích cho thấy, có 6 nhân tố ảnh hưởng đến hiệu quả kinh tế trên địa bàn tỉnh Thái Nguyên bao gồm (1) thị trường, (2) điều kiện tự nhiên, (3) chính sách, (4) vốn, (5) khoa học công nghệ, (6) trình độ và kinh nghiệm. Nghiên cứu khuyến nghị để phát triển mạnh sản xuất quế trên địa bàn tỉnh Thái Nguyên; các cấp ban ngành của tỉnh Thái Nguyên cần quy hoạch các vùng sản xuất quế và có các giải pháp hữu hiệu trong việc thúc đẩy thị trường đầu ra cho sản phẩm quế và chú trọng việc đào tạo tập huấn và chuyển giao tiến bộ khoa học cho nông dân trồng quế.
