Tóm tắt

Sự tham gia của người dân địa phương đóng vai trò quyết định đối với sự phát triển du lịch nhanh, bền vững và việc hình thành các mô hình du lịch cộng đồng. Tỉnh Kiên Giang có nhiều lợi thế để phát triển du lịch và đang chú trọng phát triển du lịch theo hướng dựa vào cộng đồng. Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm phân tích các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến sự tham gia phát triển du lịch của người dân. Mẫu nghiên cứu gồm 125 hộ dân và được phỏng vấn bằng bảng hỏi. Kiểm định Chi-bình phương và phân tích bảng chéo được sử dụng để xử lý dữ liệu. Kết quả cho thấy, 5 yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến việc tham gia làm du lịch của người dân là ‘năng lực của người dân’, ‘sự cổ vũ của gia đình’, ‘sự khuyến khích và hỗ trợ của chính quyền địa phương’, ‘sự ủng hộ và tạo điều kiện của ban quản lý nơi đến du lịch’, và ‘mạng lưới đường sá’. Nghiên cứu này góp phần bổ sung lý thuyết về sự tham gia của người dân trong phát triển du lịch và cung cấp tri thức thực nghiệm cho địa phương trong việc thực hiện những chính sách/ biện pháp nhằm thu hút sự tham gia làm du lịch tích cực của người dân.
