Abstract


Nghia Lo town, Yen Bai province is home of the Thai ethnic group, which still preserves traditional cultural features. Thai community mainly live in agriculture - forestry and their life is extremely difficult. In addition, due to the influence of the market economy and the urbanization process, Its culture has been transformed gradually and many customs are almost lost. Community based tourism creates livelihoods for local people, contributing to the preservation of the natural environment as well as traditional cultural values. Within the framework of the article, the author focused on the specific situation of community based tourism development of Nghia Lo town, Yen Bai province and emphasized on raising awareness of society about the participation of women in tourism activities.
