Abstract

This study was conducted during January - May 2018, aiming to determine the best growing substrate composition for the experimental rose Bishop’s Castle in Thai Nguyen province. The study included 4 growing substrate treatments, using Randomized Complete Block Design. Parameters for measurement were adapted from the National Technical Regulation ‘QCVN 01-95:2012’ of the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development, and Pham Dinh Thuy (2012). As a result, treatment 3 (33% rice husk ash + 33% decomposed muck + 33% alluvial soil + 1% NPK (15:15:15) showed the highest effectiveness with regards to growth and flower quality parameters.
