In two crop seasons of 2014, Summer-Autumn and Autumn-Winter, at five sites of Buon Me Thuot - Dak Lak, Duc Trong - Lam Dong, Tan Thanh - Ba Ria Vung Tau, Cam My - Dong Nai, Trang Bom - Dong Nai an research on adaptability and stability of hybrid maize varieties has been conducted. The experiments conducted was follwed the complete random blocks design (RCBD) with 3 repetitions. Each variety was grown in a particular plot of 5 m long, the distance between two rows 70 cm and between two plants 25 cm. The quantity of fertilizers is equally applied for all of experiments, including 150 kg N + 90 kg P2O5 + 60 kg K2O/ha. The results of ANOVA analysis of 8 hybrid maize varieties and 2 check throuth 5 different media, showed that there is the disparity in productivity of them with the statistical significance P < 0.05 level, and besides, the different performance of stability and adaptability. The four hybrid maize varieties of PAC022, ST6101, ST6172, ST6253 are the most adaptable to the experimental media, recognizable through the stability index (S2di) trending towards 0, adaptability index (bi) oscillating around number 1. Those are the four most promising hybrid maize varieties for production. Moreover, in unfavourable conditions of the environment, like Ba Ria – Vung Tau, the two hybrid maize varieties of ST6172 and CP1261 proved its standing of productivity.
