Abstract

Community tourism is currently a type that brings many sustainable benefits to localities and countries. Binh Dinh is a province with a lot of potential for community tourism development, such as local culture, craft villages... combined with unique natural landscapes. In fact, many potentials are currently untapped for the development of community tourism. Some potentials have been exploited but the effectiveness is not high because they are spontaneous. With the desire to contribute to changing this situation, the authors used the general scale method to assess the potential for community tourism development in Binh Dinh province. The research results have assessed the potential for community tourism development and the current situation of exploitation of community tourism resources in Binh Dinh. That is the basis for proposing more  appropriate and effective exploitation solutions, contributing to stabilizing livelihoods, protecting environmental resources and preserving unique local cultural values.
