Abstract

This paper investigates the conditions and self-study environment of students at Can Tho University. The study surveyed 919 respondents, including administrators, lecturers, and students, to assess satisfaction with factors supporting self-study such as facilities, time, and study locations. The results indicate that Can Tho University has adequately prepared the necessary conditions for self-study, with an overall average score of 3.93 on a 5-point scale. Printed resources in the library and dedicated study areas were highly rated, while guidance on self-study methods was found to be limited. Despite the favorable conditions provided by the university, students still face challenges in self-organizing and planning their self-study activities. To enhance self-study effectiveness, the paper suggests that the university should improve teaching methods, increase the organization of instructional sessions, and encourage students to participate in self-study activities. The research results contribute to proposing strategies for improving educational quality and creating a positive learning environment for students.
