EVALUATING THE PERFORMANCE OF DRIVER’S SEAT SUSPENSION SYSTEM OF CONSTRUCTION MACHINE USING A TEST METHOD

The rational design of suspension system and cushion of driver’s seat not only reduces transmission of vibration to the human body but also improves driver performance. To evaluate the performance of the construction machine driver's seat, a driver's seat vibration test was set up on avibration test bed to measure vibration acceleration under low-frequency excitation conditions. Frequency domain acceleration and the SEAT factor are selected to evaluate the performance of the suspension and cushion of driver’s seat. Analytical results show that the performance of the suspension system and the cushion is relatively good in the fore-and-aft direction and the value of SEAT factor of the vertical suspension of driver’s seat is less than 1 atthe most of lowexcitation frequencies and especially reduced 62.8% at the excitation frequency of 8Hz.
