Abstract

This study investigates the attractiveness of bridges in Da Nang, Vietnam, to domestic tourists. Through surveys, it reveals clear differences in perception, evaluation, and preference among tourists. The Dragon bridge and Han River bridge stand out as the city's main tourism symbols, reflecting the success of promotion strategies. However, other bridges like Tran Thi Ly, Thuan Phuoc, and Nguyen Van Troi have untapped potential. Factors such as unique architecture, cultural-historical value, surrounding landscape, photo opportunities, and visual experiences are crucial in attracting tourists. The study suggests a balanced strategy for promoting and developing the bridge system, an integrated approach to tourism planning that incorporates cultural preservation and landscape improvement, leveraging modern trends like photography and social media sharing, and ensuring sustainable tourism development through stakeholder collaboration. The findings provide insights for policymakers to enhance Da Nang's tourism appeal through its iconic bridges while considering the broader context of responsible tourism growth.
