Published: 31/07/17Abstract
Identification of serotypes, virulence and antibiotic resistance of three bacteria caused pneumonia in pigs at Tuyen Quang province. The serotypes of A. pleuropneumoniae isolated were serotype 2 (62.07%) and serotype 5 (20.69%); the serotypes of P. multocida isolated were serotype A (73.91%) and serotype D (26.09%); the serotypes of S. suis isolated were serotype 2 (32.69%), serotype 7 (25%) and serotype 9 (25%). All serotypes of three isolated bacteria were highly virulent, killed 94.82 - 97.11% of experimental mice after 12 to 48 hours of poisoning. All serotypes of three isolated bacteria: A. pleuropneumoniae, P. multocida and S. suis were high susceptible to three antibiotics: ceftiofur, ampicillin and amikacin.
