SHIFTING THE ECONOMIC STRUCTURES IN THE PERIOD OF INDUSTRIALIZATION AND MODERNIZATION (RESEARCH BASED ON EMPIRICAL EVIDENCES IN BAC LIEU PROVINCE)

Abstract

One of the core contents regarding the process of developing social-economy and enhancing the industrialization and modernization is the economic structure formation and transformation of the country, in general and of each local, in particular. Bac Lieu is a coastal province belonging to the Mekong Delta area, which posseeses remarkable advantages in agricultural development. In the process of industrialization and modernization, Bac Lieu has gradually and effectively shifted its economic structure, especially the agricultural economic structure. The process has achieved some certain results. However, several limitations are still remained. From an economic - historical perspective, this article aims to clarify the factors affecting as well as the process of the economic restructuring in Bac Lieu province from 1997 to 2018, and eventually remark some prominent and noteworthy experiences for the economic restructuring of the country.
