Abstract

Molecular markers are considered modern and effective tools in molecular biology research, particularly in species identification and assessing genetic diversity. These tools allow for accurate and reliable detection of genetic variation among individuals, thereby providing insights into the genetic structure of populations. This study applied molecular markers to identify and analyze the genetic diversity of Manglietia fordiana in Thai Nguyen province. The results revealed significant genetic variation among individuals, indicating a rich gene pool within the population. Genetic diversity plays a crucial role not only in maintaining adaptability and resilience to environmental changes but also in preserving the genetic integrity of the species against external threats. The data obtained serve as a foundation for conservation, management, and sustainable development programs for Manglietia fordiana. This contributes to both the improved breeding strategies and the natural populations. The findings are particularly important given the species' current risk of decline due to overexploitation and habitat loss.
