Abstract

In the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the robust development of smart home technology, integrating knowledge and skills related to smart electricity into vocational training programs is absolutely essential. Recognizing this importance, the author group has researched and developed a smart electrical practice model using Tuya switches, offering a simple, effective, and cost-appropriate solution for training at Lao Cai College. The model is designed to fully simulate a typical household electrical system, integrating smart control capabilities via a Wi-Fi network. This allows learners to practice controlling a variety of real-world electrical devices such as lighting, electric fans, air conditioning systems, and automated plant watering systems. Through this model, learners can easily access and familiarize themselves with smart electrical control technology. Implementation and evaluation results show that the model brings numerous practical benefits. Specifically, it helps the college significantly save investment costs on expensive smart electrical equipment, while simultaneously providing an effective learning tool. The model strongly supports advanced practical exercises such as switch circuit wiring, configuring and setting up Tuya devices, as well as creating and deploying complex smart control scenarios. This not only enhances practical skills but also develops problem-solving thinking and adaptability to new technologies for students, equipping them with the necessary skills to meet the demands of the labor market.
