THE SITUATION OF PAYING FOR HOUSEHOLD MEDICAL INSURANCE IN THAI NGUYEN CITY

Abstract

This article find out the fact of households medical insurance in Thai Nguyen city, then to propse a solution to facilicate their participation. The survey conducted on 200 households in four wards (Trung Thanh, Tan Thanh, Tich Luong and Cam Gia) of Thai Nguyen city showed that: The number of person who paid for househohd Medical Insurance has increased but still be a modest rate while rate of people using treatment card was comparably high.

Due to the impact of high fee for participation, complicated registration procedures and limited awareness of household medical insurance policy, the percentage of people paying for household medical insurance has declined to the lowest point among the compulsory insured subjects.
