EXPLOITING HERITAGE VALUES OF THE WESTERN SIDE OF YEN TU MOUNTAIN TO DEVELOP TOURISM IN BAC GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract

The paper is part of a scientific research project on cultural and historical relics of the Ly and Tran dynasties in the western side of Yen Tu Mountain. By methods of statistics, data collection, analysis and synthesis, as well as the data related to the cultural and historical monument system in the West of Yen Tu were determined. Synthesis scale method was used to assess the potentials for tourism development, thereby, resource sites and attractions were assessed in order to outline travel routes of West Yen Tu in relation to the tourism routes and destinations in Bac Giang province and the North of Vietnam. The study results defined the potentials of the tourism resource points of the historical - cultural relics and put these points in the tourism resources system of the studied area (including natural and human tourism resources).
