Abstract
In the process of building socialism, the propagation and education of Marxist ideology in Vietnam depends on an important part of renewing the contents and methods of teaching political theory subjects in the universities. This in order to build human resources to meet the requirements of the country's industrialization and modernization. Therefore, the discussion of Ho Chi Minh's educational method in connection with innovating political theoretical subjects has been clarified by many scientific works, but studied directly on the application of Ho Chi Minh’s educational method to improve the teaching quality of political theory subjects has not had any intensive work yet. By analyzing and synthesizing the research issues, we went into generalizing President Ho Chi Minh's instructions on educational method, thereby offering basic solutions to improve the quality of teaching political theory subjects at universities today to see that research issues are particularly important when universities are making urgent demands to innovate teaching methods, including Marxist - Leninist subjects and Ho Chi Minh thought.
