Aim: Description the gastric lesions in patients with ischemic heart disease who received antiplatelet therapy in Thai Nguyen National Hospital. Patients and methods:The study was conducted in patients with ischemic heart disease who were being treated for aspirin and/or clopidogrel, with clinical symptoms suggestive of gastric duodenal ulcer. A total of 40 patients were enrolled. Results:: inflammation (62.5%), ulcer lesion (25%), both inflammation and ulcer lesion (12.5%), the most common location is the antral (80%). 37.5% of 40 patients had ulcer lesion: singer ulcer lesion (60%); ulceration: < 2 cm (93.3%). Ulcer bleeding (20%). Upper GI bleeding were: aspirin (15%), clopidogrel (0%), aspirin and clopidogrel (50%) Conclusions: Patients with ischemic heart disease use antiplatelet therapy has gastrointestinal symptoms, the most common chronic gastritis (62.5%) was recorded in the antrum (80%) and if there is ulcer, usually only 1 ulcer (60%), size < 2 cm (93.3%), ulcer bleeding (20%). Patients taking dual antiplatelet therapy have higher rate of hemorrhagic ulcer than monotherapy.
