Livistona halongensis (T.H. Nguyen & Kiew) is an endemic plant species with a rare and unique genetic resource, distributed in a narrow range on the islands of Ha Long Bay. The paper presents the results of research on the current situation, proposing solutions for management and conservation of Livistona halongensis. The research applied typical research methods, including data collection method, field survey method, interview method and SWOT analysis method. Research results have shown that the number of species, population density and number of naturally regenerated seedlings is very low. The management and conservation work is facing many difficulties, it is necessary to have conservation zoning solutions, improve management capacity and propagate about the value of the species. Research results are the scientific basis in the management and conservation of Livistona halongensis.
