Abstract

This paper proposes and calculates the optimal operation of the energy hub (EH) model for the sub-load group in Khanh Hoa area and the provinces in the South Central Coast region, in order to maximize the advantages on renewable energy sources, save costs and improve the service quality of the local tourism industry, and serve the development of the marine economy. The problem of optimizing the cost of energy use is based on daily load demand and flexible electricity tariff. The proposed model considers the involvement of wind power, solar energy, natural gas and BESS energy storage system. High-level programming language GAMS is used to solve the minimization problem of energy cost in a day through different operating scenarios of the proposed EH model. Compared with the traditional form of electric power supply, the calculation results show that the EH model increases the efficiency of exploitation and optimal utilization of energy compared to using only one form of electrical energy.
