Abstract

We have isolated 48 strains of antibiotic-producing bacteria among 379 strains selected (12.66%) from 39 soil sample collected at Nui Phao - Dai Tu and Mo Sat - Trai Cau, Thai Nguyen province. Among them, 4/48 strains (8.33%) exhibited to kill 4 bacteria tested, including Staphylococcus epidermidis ATCC 14990, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6051A and Bacillus anthracis KEMB 211-146); 12/48 strains (25%) were able to inhibit3 strains; 13/48 strains killing 2 strains and 19/48 strains (39.58%) were only killing.... Strain P5-1 showed the best anti bacterial activities among the isolates. The strongest anti bacterial activities of strain P5-1 revealed via using Gause I medium at 7 days of fermentation.
