CURRENT STATUS OF THE PRODUCTION OF HOAI SON MEDICINAL PLANTS IN CAO BANG

Abstract


The study was conducted in December 2020 at Vu Minh commune, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province to evaluate the current situation and propose solutions to develop Hoai Son medicinal production in the locality. The number of participants included farmers, leaders and officials of the commune, enterprises and production groups. Primary number is collected at relevant departments and units, primary data is collected by interview with the participation of people. The research results show that 50.0% indicate that Hoai Son is used for fresh food, 10% show that Hoai Son has medicinal value, 46.7% showt Hoai Son is harvested at natural forest in April and trading without prior agreement (40.0%), with the main consumption in markets (46.7%). The main difficulty to develop local Hoai Son production shows that 86.7% is the output market of the product, the ability to take out, 40% is about the investment capital and 36.7% is the technical support. To be able to develop Hoai Son production, it is necessary to have solutions in which the solution to link consumption of products is the most interested by the local people and authorities with 80% of the opinions.
